In a rural community it is vitally important to have quick access to emergency medical
services. We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Every year our Emergency Department sees
approximately 10,000 patients.
Emergency Department Services
- Because of our commitment to the health of the community, no patient is ever turned away
from the Emergency Department for any reason. Patients of all ages, including infants and
children, with all types of injuries and illnesses are treated.
- The Emergency Department provides an environment where professional nurses and physicians can
diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for the patient who needs treatment. The care
rendered ranges from nonemergency, non urgent needs to life threatening complications from
medical or traumatic origin. Your treatment will also include patient safety, education and
discharge planning.
- For the most serious injuries and illnesses that require transfer to a major medical center or specialty
hospital, an Adcanced Life Support ambulance and helicopter are readily available.
- Ancillary services such as radiology, cardiopulmonary, and lab are available as needed around the clock
to aid the physician in diagnosing and treating your condition. The Emergency Department is
equipped with state of the art heart monitoring and airway equipment.
Caring for the Community
- Medical emergencies develop unexpectedly. Not only are they confusing and stressful,
but they demand immediate attention.
- Upon arriaval you will be taken directly back to an available exam room where a nurse will
evaulate you to determine if there are any immediate needs or life threatening conditions.
If a room is not available immediately, a nurse will triage you shortly to determine the extent
of your illness or injury. Registration staff will come to the exam room to obtain the
necessary information. Shortly after arrival, you will be seen by a physician.
- The Emergency Department cares for patients facing life threatening situations every day and
it is an honor to be trusted with the care of your family.
Physicians
